So you’ve decided that you want to commit to taking control of your life, and you are interested in working with me? You’re already my hero! I have so much admiration and respect for everyone who is choosing to “Do the work”. What now? If you get in contact with me, the process typically includes:
1.) Chemistry call: We both need to feel comfortable working together, and you may have questions or concerns that you want answered. By meeting for a free, no-obligation chemistry call, we have the opportunity to see if we’re a good fit. You have to feel completely comfortable in my presence and I also have to judge if I’m the right person to help you. My priority is that you get value, so if I’m not the right person for the job, or you’re not happy, then this is where it stops; it’s never happened yet, but you need to know that your growth is my highest priority, not me getting work!
The Chemistry call is 30 minutes and it’s completely free with zero obligation or hard-sell afterwards.
2.) Assessment & contracting: If you decide that you want to work with me, then we agree how we are to work together. This either happens in the chemistry call, or in communication afterwards, and I send a contract (to be signed digitally), so that you are clear on exactly what we expect of each other. You will also be sent a short online questionnaire so that I get an idea of where we’re starting; this helps us track changes as we go through this journey together, and it also helps you start to look at yourself reflectively. I usually also take payment up-front, so you will be sent the invoice too, this means that we can have great focus in our sessions, as all the boring admin is out of the way.
3.) Goal Setting: Part of the journey often involves identifying your define your goals, both short-term and long-term.
Having a focus that you’re constantly working towards, plus small goals for each session, creates great momentum and self-efficacy. Some sessions you might just need a download and to formulate your thoughts, but this is still a goal for the session that I can partner with you to work through. What’s exciting is not only that you will see constant progress, but also that you might change your goals as you get to know yourself better. and realise what’s truly important to you.
4.) Progress Evaluation: Depending on the package you buy, we will track your progress using questionnaires that you complete in your own time, and we will use the first and last sessions of any package to go through the changes, as it is important to acknowledge and celebrate success in order for the new mindset and habits to stick.
Exercises: Pure coaching is very much about me supporting you to understand yourself and find the strategies to help yourself and hold yourself accountable, becoming less and less reliant on outside validation and opinions. However, I am also a mentor and will, with your permission, also support you with mental skills, understanding, and strategies to support your success. Depending on how you do your best learning, we might agree on some exercises to complete either in session or in your own time.
For many, our coaching sessions are their time for their own wellbeing, so they don’t want to have work in-between sessions! Some work better with constant reflection between sessions.
